Taken from [livejournal.com profile] nextian:

1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it’s over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them.

I choose due South, since I've never actually written in the fandom before. So, if these suck (and they probably do), that is why.

1. Temptation :: Cote de Pablo

The door was gaped, but Fraser still reached up and knocked. "Ray? Ray? Ray? Ray?" There was no response inside. Fraser wasn't surprised due to the loud music coming through. Sighing and rubbing an eyebrow, he pushed the door open.

Ray was dancing around his living room, and when he spotted Fraser, he grinned and held out a hand. Fraser shook his head, but Ray just continued grinning and holding out his hand. He danced over to Fraser and leaned in close, talking directly into Fraser's ear. "Come on, Frase," he said, hot breath on Fraser's ear. "I know you wanna." Fraser then shivered, and before he could say anything, Ray swept him into a dance.

2. Two Princes :: Spin Doctors

"Fraser, remind me - why the heck are we protecting a bunch of princes from some small country no one has ever heard of?" Ray asked.

Fraser gave Ray a look, and said, "Because they're royalty, Ray, and they're in a strange country where anything can happen to them. They don't know the dangers that can happen to them."

Ray looked back Fraser, and couldn't help but grin. "Like you, Fraser?"

"That is really not the point, Ray, and you know that," Fraser replied.

Ray's grin faded to a smile, and he bumped his shoulder against the Mountie's. "Yeah, I know."

Fraser smiled back, then looked at the princes. "... Ray, what is the heir of Macatosha doing?"

Ray looked, and cringed.

3. Nothingwrong :: Jimmy Eat World

"Ray, what's wrong?" Fraser asked, looking down at his partner, who was slumped in his chair. Usually, that wasn't surprising, but Ray had a look on his face that said that it wasn't a happy "I'm just lazy" slump.

"Nothing's wrong, Frase," Ray replied, frowning even more.

Fraser sighed, then knelt down. "Somehow I don't believe that. Ray, you know you can tell me anything."

Ray gave Fraser a look. "It's nothing, Fraser. Believe me, okay? Believe me for once."

"I'm afraid I can't do that."

Ray sighed, then looked at the stack of paper on his desk. "I can't spell."

4. Twenty One :: The Cranberries

"Happy birthday, Son."

Benton looked up from his paper work to see his father standing there. He blinked a couple times, then looked the calender. "My birthday was five months ago, Dad."

Robert Fraser huffed, then looked a little put out. "Yes, I know, but I was off chasing some criminals, you know how that is son."

Benton sighed, and looked back at his paper work. "I know, Dad. Uh. Thank you. But I have some work I really have to do." He looked back up at his father. "I'm sure you understand."

A look Benton didn't understand crossed Robert's face, then the older Mountie nodded. "Of course. Keep up the good work. Benton." He patted Benton's shoulder, then left the office.

5. Moby Dick :: Led Zeppelin

Fraser stepped into the cabin to find Ray reading. "Ray?" he asked, a bit surprised. Ray never read.

Ray looked up and grinned. "Hey, Frase. How were the ice fields?"

"They were fine. ... Ray, if you don't mind if I ask, what are you doing?"

Ray gave Fraser a look. "Uh, -duh-, Fraser. I'm reading. I know you're getting older, but I also know your eye sight is fine."

Fraser rubbed an eyebrow. "Yes, I know that. What I mean is, why are you reading?"

Ray actually blushed. "Well, I thought it would be a good idea to, I dunno, get a bit more educated. Maybe then, well..."

Fraser immediately understood. "Ray," he said, kneeling down next to the chair and placing his hand on Ray's knee. "Ray, you're fine just the say you are. You know that, right? It doesn't matter if you don't read a lot. I love you just the way you are."

Ray's grin lite up the whole cabin, and Fraser smiled back. "Yeah, okay Frase."

6. Makin' Angels :: Destroyer

The first time Ray saw Fraser after he, you know, died, Ray screamed. He couldn't help it. "What the fuck" he hollowed, scrambling up and hiding behind his chair.

"Hello Ray," Fraser said,

"Fraser, you're dead!"

"Yes, thank you for stating the obvious," Fraser replied, frowning.

"Oh great, I'm going crazy," Ray mumbled rubbing his eyes. Maybe when he reopened his eyes, Fraser would be gone. ... nope, he was still there.

Fraser, or rather the hallucination that looked like Fraser, sighed and rubbed an eyebrow. "I'm afraid you're not going crazy, Ray. I'm really here. This seems to be a, well, a thing that happens with Frasers."

"Uh huh. Sure. Whatever you say, Frase. You're dead!" Ray couldn't help but say again, cause he couldn't believe it.

"Ray, if I told you things that only I knew, would you believe me then?"

"... maybe?"

Fraser leaned in and whispered something in Ray's ear, causing Ray to blush.

"...okay, you really are him."

7. Houses of the Holy :: Led Zeppelin

Ray doesn't remember the first time he went to church. He does remember the last time he did, though. It was a Friday. He went into what was probably the only Catholic church north of the Arctic Circle, and went to sit in the confession booth, which was really only a few curtains. "Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned."

"What is it you did, my son?"

"I slept with another man. But, see, it's like this... God is all about love, yeah? so why should it matter if I love the person? I really do love him, and yeah, I know we're not going to repopulate the earth and what not, but neither were me and Stella, cause she didn't want kids. So it's not any different. I still love him, and we're getting married tomorrow. I just thought... that I should confess, or something."

"... you really do love him?"

"Yeah, I do."

8. Winter's On The Wing :: The Secret Garden

The worse thing about winter this far north was the lack of sun light. But the day that the sun actually peaked out, even if it was just for a second, that was Ray's favorite day. He smiled more, was more active.

Which made Ben smile more. Because he wanted Ray to be happy. Otherwise, he felt guilty for Ray coming up there to be with him. He still felt guilty. But when he saw Ray smiling in the sunlight, that made the guilt go away. Because Ray looked truly happy, and when he turned that smile to Ben, Ben knew that all would be well.

9. Walking in Memphis :: Lonestar

Hearing Fraser sing was one of Ray's favorite things. Fraser would deny about his ability to sing, but he really could. Sure, it wasn't Ray's kind of music, he was never a country guy. But Fraser was, a country guy, that is, heart and soul. And when he sang country music, he sang it from his heart. And Fraser singing from his heart... well, there wasn't anything better than that.

Ray grinned, and leaned back against the wall as he watched and listened. Everything else faded away, and it was just him, Fraser, and the music. Ray was happy with that.

10. We Are the Champions :: Queen

Fraser was fascinated with Ray's tattoo. He would trace it with his fingers, tracing over the letters. He always wondered why Ray had gotten it, but he never asked. The last time he asked about someone's tattoo, he got kicked out of the parlor.

"You can ask, you know."

Fraser jolted, then looked up guiltily from where he was staring and stroking the tattoo. "I didn't think it was my place to ask."

Ray rolled his eyes, then rolled over on his side. "Fraser, we're sharing a bed. Of course it's your place to ask."

Fraser blushed, then cleared his throat under Ray's amused look. "Well, then. Ray... "

*blush* Thank you!

I kind of want to expand on a few of them. Maybe "Four special occasions Bob missed, and one he didn't" or something like that.
