As I'm sure several of you have heard, Dr. George Tiller was shot in his church this morning in Wichita, Kansas. You might have heard, but a suspect was arrested in Gardner, Kansas. The suspect might be from Merriam, Kansas.
I don't like to talk about politics. This is because my family has views one way, and my friends have views another way. I, myself, am a Moderate. Some issues I swing one way, some issues I swing the other.
I believe that abortion should be for cases of rape, or incest. A woman who is in that situation should have the right to decide if she wants to have the child.
However, I do not believe in late term abortion.
That does not mean I think the killing was a good thing. It absolutely wasn't. A person should never be murdered. There is absolutely no excuse for what the killer did. None what-so-ever.
I respect everyone's views, whether they're liberal or conservative, left-wing or right-wing. So please don't hate me for expressing mine.

I'm sorry I didn't get to say bye to you yesterday. Beth said, that you were looking for everyone, so I have no idea where I was. I'm glad you made it back home safely, though. Love you, imoto-chan. *hugs again*)

Date: 6/1/09 12:02 am (UTC)And I don't agree with everything all my friends say. Some of my friends are further on the opposite end of the political spectrum. But all of my friends are intelligent, funny, creative, and fabulous--so what if they don't like my candidate, or if they have a different point of view. Then they're my intelligent, funny, creative, fabulous friends with a different point of view.

It is (I firmly believe) the best possible solution.
