the boy who lived

Boy and I went and saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 on Sunday. Afterwards, we walked several laps around the mall talking, while stopping once for Dippin' Dots at the food court and popping into the occational store. We both like to take things slow, so that's what we're doing.
But anyway, movie! Which is what this post is mostly about.
First, I love love love Neville. My favorite part in the 7th book is when he kills Nagini. The movie interpretation did not disappoint me. Although I was thinking "hurry up and kill her already, Neville!" And Neville taunting the werewolves then running for his life! Ohhh, Neville. So much love for you.
Freeeeeeed. D: That was the point where I teared up, when the Weasleys were all there surrounding Fred. Of course, the fight between Molly and Belatrix? Awesome. And they showed Percy with his family, which makes me happy. I know Percy was a dick, but he still cares for them.
Malfoys! Oh, Malfoys. Unshaven Lucius still continues to look oddly hot. And then all three of them walking away from the fight. Not as good as helping the good side, but much better than helping the bad side.
The thing I love about the movies is that they actually go away from Harry. In the books, everything is centralized around Harry, from his point of view basically. In the movie, we can see the various fights happening, see Ron and Hermione getting the teeth from the Chamber of Secrets (where Ron speaks Parseltounge! And he and Hermione finally kiss!), see the snake being lured and killed.
Obviously there were several changes from the book. They can't put everything in and they have to move things around. But that's okay, because you just have to think of the books and the movies being two slightly different universes. My problem is my brain trying to mix the two.
There is so much more I probably want to say, but I can't remember them all, obviously, that's a good reason to go see the movie again. Maybe I'll even wear my Slytherin tie to it.
